Nghe An: Will conduct periodic health check-ups for over 1,500 drivers
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the direction of the Department of Transport, on the morning of June 28, Binh Minh Vietnam Joint Stock CompanyOrganized periodic health check-ups for 120 drivers and employees of the company. This is the first transport unit in the province to implement periodic health check-ups for drivers in 2016.

This year is the third consecutive year that the Department of Transport has coordinated with a number of transport companies in the province to organize health checks for drivers. The health checks are carried out seriously, under the close supervision of the Department of Transport staff, doctors and nurses of Vinh Transport Hospital and company representatives.
In 2014, 13 cases were detected, and in 2015, 8 cases of drivers tested positive for drugs. The Department of Transportation firmly requested that car companies terminate contracts with these drivers.

Mr. Dinh Van Nam - Head of Vehicle and Driver Management Department, Nghe An Department of Transport said: It is expected that from now until July 2016, the Department of Transport will coordinate with taxi companies and transport cooperatives in the province to organize health checks for about 1,500 - 2,000 drivers.
