Nghe An: Bus drivers fight each other and are hospitalized

(Baonghean.vn) - After a fight, the drivers of two passenger vans running on the Vinh route-Ky Son brought knives and swords to kill each other on National Highway 7 near Do Luong town, causing one person to be hospitalized.

Many curious people came to the People's Committee of Luu Son commune to follow the incident.

According to some witnesses, at around 8:00 a.m. on June 7, at the intersection between National Highway 7 and the inter-commune road in Hamlet 2, Luu Son Commune, Do Luong District, driver Nguyen Manh Lan driving Thanh Long passenger car, with license plate 37B-018.09 residing in Hamlet 1, Yen Son Commune, Do Luong District, blocked Ha Anh passenger car, with license plate 37B-009.71, driven by driver Thai Dinh Son, residing in Doi Cung Ward (Vinh City).

From then on, the two sides had an argument, and the driver and the busboy Thanh Long used a hard object to beat the driver of Ha Anh's car, knocking him to the ground.

A moment later, Mr. Thai Dinh Son went into a nearby house and took out a knife to fight back. As a result, the driver of Thanh Long bus, Mr. Nguyen Manh Lan, was hospitalized with multiple soft tissue injuries, while Mr. Thai Dinh Son - the driver of Ha Anh bus suffered scratches on many parts of his body. Dozens of passengers on the two buses had to wait for hours, many impatient passengers had to take another bus home.

The incident happened in a densely populated area, many local people came out to watch, causing local traffic congestion.

It is known that both of these buses run the Vinh - Ky Son route, in which Ha Anh bus departs from Vinh at 5:30 am on National Highway 1, through Dien Chau intersection, Do Luong to Muong Xen, and Thanh Long bus departs at 6 am on the same day, runs in the direction of National Highway 46, through Dung town (Thanh Chuong), Do Luong and both go to Muong Xen.

Nguyen Manh Lan was hospitalized with multiple soft tissue injuries and had to have two stitches in his left knee.

Upon receiving the news, Luu Son Commune Police coordinated with Do Luong District Police to promptly arrive to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the incident.

Currently, the two passenger cars are being detained by Do Luong district police for investigation.
