In the first quarter of 2022, the province's industrial production value is expected to reach VND 23,270 billion, an increase of 17% compared to 2021, reaching 25.16% of the plan.Industrial production indexincreased by 10.26% compared to the first quarter of 2021. Of which: Production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 24.97%; mining industry increased by 14.26%; processing and manufacturing industry increased by 8.86%; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment activities increased by 7.37% over the same period.

Estimated products increased compared to the same period in 2021: Hoa Sen steel sheets of all kinds 339 thousand tons, up 30.87%; beer of all kinds 30.3 million liters, up 31.38%; cement 2,504 thousand tons, up 19.13%; electricity production 626 million kWh, up 14.31%,...

In the past time, the Industry and Trade sector has closely followed the goals and targets assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in 2022, coordinating implementation to localities and enterprises. Advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Plan to implement the direction and promote industrial growth in 2022 of the Industrial Steering Working Group according to Decision No. 212 of the Provincial People's Committee.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said: We have inspected and guided a number of enterprises and industrial production establishments (MLB Tenergy Garment, An Hung Garment, Hanosimex Nghi Loc Garment, Quang Vinh Garment, Leather Shoe Production, ...) to update new regulations on epidemic prevention and control and implement appropriate adjustment measures, safe and flexible adaptation and effective control of the Covid-19 epidemic to ensure stable production activities. We also support and guide investors to adjust the ASIA Quynh Luu wind power profile and the biomass power project in Do Luong district to have a basis for consultation; organize meetings and advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct the work of relocating power lines to clear the land for the North-South expressway.

At the same time, coordinate with the People's Committee of Hoang Mai town to speed up implementation.compensation for land clearance1.2 ha of land to implement the construction of some items of the Hoa Sen Dong Hoi Factory; continue to coordinate with the Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Management Board to urge investors to complete the road from Hoang Mai II Industrial Park to Tan Thang Cement Factory. Currently, the Department of Industry and Trade has also coordinated with the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district and enterprises to complete the process of supplementing the planning of Thanh Tien industrial cluster and Do Lang 2 industrial cluster. Along with that, coordinating with the People's Committee of Tan Ky district and APG Industrial Cluster Investment Joint Stock Company to supplement and complete the dossier and investment report to expand Nghia Dung Industrial Cluster to collect opinions from relevant sectors and units. Coordinate with localities to update and supplement the planning of a number of industrial clusters into the industrial cluster development plan to integrate into the socio-economic development planning for the period 2021 - 2025, ensuring conditions to attract enterprises to invest in infrastructure business.

REMOVING DIFFICULTIES FOR BUSINESSES

Although the industrial production index in the first quarter of 2022 increased compared to the same period in 2021, some key industrial products such as fertilizers, wood chips, sugar, etc. decreased due to difficulties in raw material areas and consumption markets. Some industrial projects are still behind schedule compared to the plan.

Director of Tan Thang Cement Factory (Quynh Luu) said: The traffic route from Hoang Mai 2 Industrial Park to the Factory is still 200m unpaved, subsidence has occurred affecting the transportation of the Factory. Request the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Management Board to urge the contractor to complete the route.

At Nghia Long Industrial Park, Nghia Dan, a representative of VIET HOME STONE JSC reported that the power supply system at the industrial park is unstable, often intermittent and often goes out without warning. There is no clean water system or production water, leading to a lack of water for businesses to use for production and daily life. The traffic roads in the industrial park are not yet complete, there are still slippery dirt roads, which are prone to accidents.

"Request to balance additional funding from the provincial budget for Nghia Dan District People's Committee to complete the water supply dam to serve the production needs of enterprises in the industrial park. Direct Nghe An Electricity Company to upgrade power lines, ensuring stable power supply to serve production for enterprises in Nghia Long Industrial Park" - the leader of the Economic Infrastructure Department, Nghia Dan District People's Committee shared.

To remove difficulties for businesses, create momentum for production activities in the coming months, and promote industrial development, the industry and trade sector will organize dialogues and meetings with businesses and investors to grasp difficulties and problems and promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to resolve them. In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade will effectively implement and improve the management of approved industrial planning, plans and projects; promote the improvement of the business environment, focus on supporting startups, prioritize credit capital, industrial promotion funds, etc. to encourage businesses to invest in machinery and equipment, expand production. Promote technological innovation, improve production processes to increase labor productivity.
