Nghe An attends Da Nang Supporting Industry Connection Conference - 2022
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An has 5 enterprises attending the Da Nang Supporting Industry Connection Conference - 2022. By participating in the conference, Nghe An hopes to promote the connection between supporting industry enterprises with each other and with complete manufacturing and assembly enterprises.
On November 4, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Da Nang City jointly organized the Da Nang Supporting Industry Connection Conference - 2022. Attending the conference were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai. Comrade Pham Van Hoa - Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade led the Nghe An delegation to attend the conference.
The conference attracted the participation of nearly 400 delegates. Of which, there were more than 100 supporting industry enterprises and nearly 50 enterprises registered to display and introduce supporting industry products in the fields of: mechanics, electronics, automobile manufacturing and assembly, packaging, etc.

Mr. Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade said that the Danang Supporting Industry Connection Conference - 2022 aims to create conditions for supporting industrial product manufacturing enterprises in provinces and cities across the country to cooperate and connect. At the same time, promote the connection between supporting industrial product manufacturing enterprises with enterprises manufacturing and assembling complete products, multinational corporations, and foreign investors to penetrate the global supply chain.

Nghe An province's supporting industry has developed quite rapidly in recent years thanks to attracting a number of large-scale FDI projects, especially in the field of manufacturing and supplying electronic components and accessories for the electronics and information technology manufacturing and assembly industry. Through the survey, there are about 81 enterprises and production establishments, accounting for 5.58% of the total number of enterprises in the entire industry. Of which, the number of domestic supporting industry enterprises accounts for a large number, with 72 enterprises and establishments, but mainly small-scale in the mechanical processing and packaging manufacturing industries.
The production value of supporting industrial products in Nghe An in 2021 reached about 7,600 billion VND, accounting for 9.51% of the total industrial production value of the province. Of which, the production value of domestic supporting industrial enterprises was about 2,100 billion VND, accounting for only 2.63% of the total industrial production value of the province.

In the province, supporting industries have been formed for the following groups of industries: Electronics; packaging manufacturing; textiles; mechanics, assembly, etc. However, the number and scale of enterprises are still very limited; financial potential, quality of human resources, facilities, product supply capacity, cooperation, association and promotion are generally at a low level.
"In the coming period, Nghe An will focus on promoting the development of supporting industrial products to serve existing manufacturing industries in the province and the national market that has high demand," said the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade.

In recent times, the processing and manufacturing industry has received attention from the Party, the Government and all levels. The Politburo has issued Resolution No. 23 on the orientation of national industrial development to 2030, with a vision to 2045. In which, the development of the processing and manufacturing industry is identified as the center; the development of smart manufacturing industry is a breakthrough. The Resolution sets a target that by 2030, the proportion of industry in GDP will reach more than 40%; the proportion of processing and manufacturing industry in GDP will reach about 30%.
Resolution No. 115 of the Government also clearly states that supporting industry is important for the economic restructuring towards industrialization and modernization.
