Nghe An established 3 special working groups to handle traffic safety violators
(Baonghean.vn)This morning, October 20, Nghe An Provincial Police held a launching ceremony to implement Plan No. 212/KH-CAT-PV11 on inspecting and handling subjects driving cars, motorbikes, and motorbikes violating traffic safety laws, illegally carrying weapons and supporting tools, and at the same time established 3 special working groups to handle subjects violating traffic safety laws.
Attending the launching ceremony were comrade Huynh Thanh Dien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In the past time, although the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Police Department have closely followed the directives of the Government, central ministries and branches and the actual situation of the locality to direct all levels and branches to deploy many synchronous solutions to ensure traffic safety, the traffic safety situation still has many complicated developments.
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien speaks at the launching ceremony
Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien presented flowers to representatives of 3 working groups.
In September 2011 alone (Traffic Safety Month), traffic accidents in the province still increased in all 3 criteria. Specifically, there were 19 cases, killing 23 people, injuring 14 people, an increase of 7 cases, 9 deaths, 10 injuries compared to September 2011. The main reasons focus on 3 main issues: Awareness of traffic law compliance of officials, party members and people in some places is still weak. State management of traffic safety still has some shortcomings, the responsibility of leadership of Party committees and authorities is not high, still leaving everything to the police. Advisory work of functional branches (police, traffic) is not yet drastic, handling of violations is not strict.
Major Le Hong Son, (Road and Railway Traffic Police Department) on behalf of 3 working groups took the oath at the launching ceremony.

The working groups are equipped with walkie-talkies, official motorbikes and personal motorbikes (for disguised forces). In addition, the groups are also equipped with support tools.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien emphasized the importance of the special task force in contributing to restoring traffic safety, urban order, and fighting against crime in Vinh city and neighboring districts. He also requested that each member of the task force should identify this as an extremely important political task, so they should make every effort to overcome difficulties to complete the task, and at the same time request the provincial police leaders to have special policies and regimes for the members. The provincial People's Committee will also consider and issue regulations on more effective measures for some traffic safety violations in the coming time.
