Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that 2020 is an extremely difficult year for the province due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
However, with the determination and great efforts of the entire political system, the People and the business community, the socio-economic development results in 2020 were quite positive. Contributing to these results is the role of the banking and finance sector in general and VietinBank in particular.

In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic had a strong, comprehensive and profound impact on all aspects of economic and social life. In addition, extreme weather, natural disasters... caused severe damage, negatively affecting production and life in the province.
In that context, with the determination and great efforts of the entire political system, the people and the business community, the province's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 4.45%, ranking 19th out of 63 localities, while the country's GDP only increased by 2.91%. Total state budget revenue reached VND 17,363 billion, up 14.11% compared to the estimate at the beginning of the year and up 11.6% compared to the adjusted estimate, up 7.3% compared to 2019.
At the press conference, journalists and reporters raised many questions, surrounding issues of socio-economic development indicators for the 2020-2025 term. Representatives of agencies, departments and branches also specifically answered many questions of journalists and reporters, and thanked the press agencies in the past time for accompanying the common development of the province.
