* On the morning of August 16th, during his working visit to Vietnam,Delegation from the Ministry of Planning and Investment of the Lao People's Democratic RepublicAt the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan, Nghe An, people laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
The delegation was led by Mr. Phet Phomphiphak, Minister of Planning and Investment and Chairman of the Lao-Vietnam Cooperation Committee. Also present was Mr. Khamphao Ernthavanh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully offered gifts, flowers, and incense in commemoration, expressing their profound respect for President Ho Chi Minh.
Later that afternoon, the Ministries of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and Laos held a working meeting in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province.

During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duy Bac - Standing Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and members of the training course on updating knowledge and skills for cadres planned to become members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, expressed their joy and congratulated Nghe An province on its comprehensive and synchronized achievements and results in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and building the Party and political system in recent years.
During the working session, the class members received guidance and clarification from leaders of Nghe An province on practical issues and lessons learned in leadership and direction, including reforming the Party's leadership methods; attracting investment, especially FDI; and promoting economic growth in the context of a challenging economic environment.

* On August 16th, in Vinh City, the following event took place.Conference on cooperation to ensure security and orderIn 2024, a cooperation agreement was reached between the Police Department of Nghe An Province (Vietnam) and the Police Departments of Bolikhamsai, Xieng Khouang, and Hua Phan Provinces (Laos).
In the spirit of special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, representatives from the police agencies of the three provinces signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to ensure security and order in 2024 with the leaders of the police forces of the three provinces of Bolikhamsai, Hua Phan, and Xieng Khouang in Laos.

At the conference, the people heard presentations about the role of the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant in the operation of the plant during the flood and dry seasons, the electricity production process, and other benefits from the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant.
