*Hanoi - Vientiane Expressway Project, Vinh - Thanh Thuy section(Nghe An province) a 65 km long road is proposed to be built with a total capital of 18,500 billion VND.
The Project Management Board 85 last week proposed to the Ministry of Transport to approve the pre-feasibility report for the Hanoi - Vientiane Expressway project, specifically the Vinh - Thanh Thuy (Nghe An) section. This project starts at the intersection with the North-South Expressway section from Dien Chau to Bai Vot at the Hung Tay interchange in Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province; and ends at the Thanh Thuy - Nam On border gate on the Vietnam-Laos border.

The reasons for the capital reduction in 6 projects are: the final settlement has already taken place, with the settlement value lower than the approved total investment; a project's capital needs for 2024 have been reviewed, and a reduction is requested for the remaining portion; and projects are facing difficulties in implementing procedures for converting forest land use and land clearance, thus preventing construction from commenced.
