Nghe An: Highlights on April 26

* After nearly 17 years since the groundbreaking date,Khe Lai - Vuc Mau Reservoir Projectin Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district has been officially completed and is ready to be put into operation. This is a large-scale irrigation project, providing irrigation and domestic water for people in the Northern Nghe An region.

When put into operation, Khe Lai - Vuc Mau reservoir will provide effective irrigation water for 3,431 hectares of cultivated land, providing domestic water for nearly 40,000 people in Hoang Mai town and Quynh Luu district. In addition, the reservoir will also provide about 6.8 million m³ of water per year for industrial zones and create water sources for 400 hectares of aquaculture.

* At about 2:00 a.m. on April 26, the Nam Can International Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard) received a report abouthouse firehappened at the family of Mr. Lau Ba Cha (born 1995), residing in Truong Son village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.

Immediately after receiving the information, the unit urgently mobilized 24 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities, forces and people in the area to quickly arrive at the scene, participate in fire fighting and support the evacuation and rescue of property.
