Based on the consolidated report of the Central Organizing Committee and through monitoring and assessing the progress of implementation by Party committees, provincial Party committees, and city Party committees directly under the Central Committee, the Politburo and the Secretariat have basically agreed on and acknowledged a number of achievements.
Based on the consolidated proposals from localities, it is projected that after the reorganization, the number of commune-level administrative units nationwide will decrease from 10,035 to over 3,320 units (equivalent to 66.91%). Of these, the locality with the highest reduction rate is 76.05%, while the locality with the lowest reduction rate is 60%.
