Nghe An attracts investment from Korea associated with the 4.0 industrial revolution
(Baonghean.vn) - Talking with Korean enterprises, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong expressed his desire to attract investment in the high-tech sector, responding to the 4.0 industrial revolution.

On the morning of November 3, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with a Korean business delegation led by Mr. Lee Beom Jae - Professor, Chairman of the Korea Association for Global Trade and Technology (ITKT). Receiving and working with the delegation were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors. |
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the Korean business delegation for coming and inspecting industrial parks in Vinh City and surrounding areas; attending the meeting to discuss in more depth the policy mechanism before deciding to invest in Nghe An.
“Nghe An province really wants to successfully attract investors in high-tech fields, associated with the current 4.0 industrial revolution,” affirmed comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong.
The head of Nghe An provincial government also emphasized the locality's advantages in terms of well-trained and skilled human resources, convenient transportation, especially with the new international port cluster coming into operation in Nghi Thiet.

“Nghe An has the most preferential policies for investors, focuses on reforming administrative procedures, and creates favorable conditions for investors through the establishment of the Investment Promotion and Support Center, so we hope that the delegation will introduce Korean enterprises to invest here,” said comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong.

In the previous meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on investment promotion cooperation, with Professor Lee Beom Jae as the connector, to study the investment potential of the GEI CITY Green Economic and Industrial Park project in Quynh Loc commune, Hoang Mai town.

On that basis, at this meeting, the delegation and Nghe An province discussed in more detail the project location, the potential for implementing solar power plant projects, LED smart lighting factory projects, and learned more about the supply of animal feed for dairy cows and beef cattle from Korea.

Representing the delegation, Professor Lee Beom Jae suggested that Nghe An send a special envoy to Korea to learn more about solar power technology and smart LED lighting. “We will create all conditions for the provincial representative to thoroughly learn and experience the production and business environment in Korea to determine the points that are suitable for the province’s characteristics. In this way, the cooperation process will be faster and more effective,” Mr. Lee explained.

Nghe An province is focusing on calling for Korean investors in the fields of: high-tech industry, supporting industry, logistics, mechanical engineering, renewable energy, industrial equipment, agricultural and aquatic product processing, clean agriculture applying high technology... and a number of other fields to anticipate the TPP Agreement and the Vietnam-Korea FTA. |
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa affirmed that Nghe An alwaysencourage and welcome foreign investors, especially investors from Korea.
“If investors wish to implement projects outside the scope of existing economic zones and industrial parks, Nghe An province will make the best use of mechanisms, submit them to the Government for consideration and approval so that investors can enjoy the most preferential mechanisms and receive maximum support to put the project into operation soon,” the Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
