Nghe An: Destroyed nearly 200 kg of chicken and boneless chicken feet of unknown origin
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An province authorities have just inspected and handled a large quantity of chickens and boneless chicken feet of unknown origin and forced the destruction of all violating goods.

On April 17, Market Management Team No. 10 - Market Management Department coordinated with the Environmental Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police to inspect a food business owned by Mr. Ngo Quyet Thang, address 380, Pham Hong Thai Street, Vinh City. Through inspection, the business was discovered to be selling 85 kg of whole chickens and 95 kg of frozen boneless chicken feet of unknown origin.
Market Management Team No. 10 has administratively sanctioned the owner of the facility with 8 million VND, forcing the destruction of all of the above goods worth 15 million 750 thousand VND.

Previously, in the first 3 months of 2018, the Department inspected 901 cases, handled 785 cases of counterfeit goods and commercial fraud violations with a total fine value of nearly 3 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Deputy Director of the Market Management Department said: Food hygiene and safety is currently a key inspection area of the Market Management force. Since the beginning of the year, in the field of food safety alone, the Nghe An Market Management Department has handled more than 128 establishments with a total fine of over 519 million VND. In the coming time, we will continue to inspect food production establishments and distribution agents to prevent and stop establishments from producing and trading in counterfeit, fake, poor quality goods, expired goods, goods of unknown origin, or using unsafe materials./.
