According to the report of the Provincial Ethnic Committee, in 2022, the Provincial People's Committee distributed 2 newspapers to 1,228 people.prestigious personwith a budget of 2.3 billion VND; organized 23 dissemination classes, providing information to more than 1,000 people, with a total amount of more than 1.56 billion VND. Organized visits and gave gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year and Tet to ethnic minorities to 1,228 people.

Over the years, prestigious people among ethnic minorities in Nghe An province have played a key role in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and patriotic emulation movements. In the work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction and socio-economic development, many prestigious people among ethnic minorities are an important support for the Party Committee and the government.

In the construction movementnew rural areas, prestigious people have actively propagated and mobilized people to participate in donating land, trees, crops, assets on land, clearing land to expand rural traffic routes, building infrastructure works...

Regarding the key tasks in 2023, the Conference agreed to continue to effectively implement Decision No. 12/2018/QD-TTg dated March 6, 2018 of the Prime Minister on criteria for selecting and recognizing prestigious people and policies for prestigious people among ethnic minorities. Continue to effectively promote the role of prestigious people in propaganda work, mobilizing ethnic minorities to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's laws and policies.

At the conference, delegates expressed their opinions on the following issues: Promoting the role of prestigious people in protecting border security; preserving national cultural identity; developing the economy, eliminating hunger and reducing poverty; preventing drugs and other crimes...

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long acknowledged and highly appreciated the role, position and contributions of prestigious people in ethnic minority communities. At the same time, he reminded the Party Committees and authorities at all levels to continue to enhance their role and position and implement policies for prestigious people in ethnic minority communities.
