Nghe An celebrates Cultural Heritage Day and opens Vi and Giam folk song performance space
(Baonghean.vn) - Organizing Cultural Heritage Day has great significance in enhancing awareness, responsibility and pride of those working in protecting, preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage in the cause of building and developing Vietnamese culture.
On the evening of November 19, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a celebration of the special exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh with Cultural Heritage", opened the space for performing Vi and Giam folk songs at Ho Chi Minh Square and launched Vi and Giam folk song clubs of Heritage units.

Speaking at the program, the leader of the Department of Culture and Sports said: On February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 36/2005/QD - TTg on annually taking November 23 as Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.
Accordingly, the organization of the DayCultural heritagehas great significance in enhancing the awareness, responsibility and pride of those working in protecting, preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage in the cause of building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity; encouraging the emulation movement in labor and production, improving discipline and revolutionary ethics of cadres, civil servants and public employees in the cultural sector in general and in the field of cultural heritage in particular.

In addition, the propaganda of Cultural Heritage Day aims to educate the tradition of patriotism, national pride, awareness and responsibility to protect Cultural Heritage among the entire population; encourage all social classes to actively participate in the cause of protecting and promoting the value of national Cultural Heritage.

To celebrate the 17th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2022), Ho Chi Minh Square Management Board in coordination with Kim Lien Relic Site organized the thematic exhibition "President Ho Chi Minh with Cultural Heritage", with more than 100 images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh with Vietnam's Cultural Heritage, about his thoughts on preserving and promoting the value of Cultural Heritage and introducing some typical Cultural Heritages of Vietnam.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh Square Management Board coordinated with the Traditional Arts Center to organize a space for performing and exchanging Vi and Giam folk songs on a live stage at Ho Chi Minh Square; at the same time, launched 5 folk song clubs belonging to the following units: Ho Chi Minh Square Management Board, Kim Lien Relic Site, Provincial Relic Management Board, Nghe An Museum and Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum.

Through the performances on weekends at Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho Monument, we will contribute to preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage; widely propagating and promoting Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs - a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity to the masses and tourists.
