Nghe An: Dismantling a transnational drug trafficking ring, seizing 15kg of crystal meth
(Baonghean.vn) - When the two subjects were transporting 15kg of drugs to Van, the police raided and arrested them. This was a drug trafficking ring from Laos, then brought to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption.
On the morning of June 2, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong - Head of Vinh City Police confirmed that the unit had just coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Department and professional units of Nghe An Provincial Police to crack down on a major drug case, arresting 3 subjects and seizing 15kg of crystal meth.
In early May 2019, Vinh City Police discovered a drug trafficking ring that illegally imported large quantities of drugs from Laos to Vinh City, then transported them to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption.

This ring is led by Hoang Nghia Van (born in 1975, permanent resident of Hung Long commune, Hung Nguyen district), currently residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh city. Van has a criminal record for illegal drug trafficking.
Under Van's command are two subjects: Mua Ba Cho (born in 1983, residing in Lac Xao town, Kham Cot district, Bolikhamxay province, Laos) and Mua Ba Va (born in 1988, residing in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district).
On May 7, Vinh City Police established a special project to fight and destroy.

After monitoring the movements of the subjects, at around 2:00 p.m. on June 1, on National Highway 8A through Son Tay commune, Huong Son district, Ha Tinh province, detectives raided and caught Cho and Va red-handed while they were riding a motorbike carrying 15kg of crystal meth to deliver to Van.
At the same time, another task force arrested Hoang Nghia Van while he was waiting to receive the “goods” in Pho Chau town, Huong Son, Ha Tinh. Searching Van’s car, the police seized 16,000 USD.

According to an investigator, Van often used Cho and Va to get drugs from Laos, then brought them to Ho Chi Minh City for consumption. This was a drug trafficking ring that had been operating for a long time, with sophisticated and cunning tricks.
