Nghe An: Thieves brazenly enter pagoda to carry donation box
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of a moment of carelessness, two thieves sneaked into Hong Phuc Pagoda, located in Nghi Long Commune, Nghi Loc District (Nghe An) to steal.

On May 16, Ms. Hoang Thi H. (a volunteer at Hong Phuc Pagoda) said that at around 6:21 a.m. on May 13, a theft occurred in the pagoda when two young men brazenly entered the pagoda and carried the donation box outside.
The entire action of these two subjects was recorded by the temple's surveillance camera. The image shows that the two young men were carrying backpacks. After observing the surroundings for a while, the subjects carried the donation box out of the temple grounds.

“At around 3 p.m. the same day, we discovered a donation box in the southwest of the temple. However, the donation box had been smashed by the subjects and all the money inside was taken. Because the donation box was managed by someone else, I don’t know how much money was inside,” said Ms. H.

Regarding the incident, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thong - Head of Nghi Long Commune Police said, after receiving the report, we were present at the scene to make a record of the incident. Then, the file was transferred to the district police to investigate and clarify.
It is known that this pagoda has been “visited” 4-5 times by thieves before, and many properties have been stolen. Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified by Nghi Loc District Police.
