Nghe An teaches Vi and Giam folk songs to talented students in the community
On the morning of June 17, Nghe An Province Traditional Arts Center held the Opening Ceremony of the Vi and Giam Folk Song Teaching Class for talented students in the community in districts and towns.
Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports and the Provincial Traditional Arts Center.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, musician Tran Quoc Chung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Traditional Arts Center emphasized: Vi and Giam are specialties of Nghe An, have a long-lasting vitality, are precious heritages in the cultural treasure of the Vietnamese people, recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. To preserve and promote the values of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk song heritage, for the past 3 years, Nghe An province has opened Vi and Giam folk song classes for gifted students in primary and secondary schools in the area.

Continuing the success of previous years' teaching sessions, the Vi and Giam folk singing class for gifted students in 2024 will take place over 12 days (from June 17 to 28, 2024) with the participation of 30 outstanding gifted students, selected from hundreds of students registered at primary and secondary schools in Vinh city and Hung Nguyen district.
The training course aims to find and discover students with musical talent, good voice quality and love for traditional arts to participate in the Vi and Giam folk singing class. Thereby, nurturing, fostering skills and career orientation for students, creating a source of future and long-term actors for professional art units; building an artistic nucleus for the folk singing movement in the locality.

The teaching staff will create a positive learning environment, a fun and comfortable atmosphere, a useful and healthy playground for children during the summer. The class ensures the right subjects, content, and methods, appropriate to the students' ages, on time, effective and economical.
