Nghe An: Health insurance coverage rate reaches over 77%

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 31, Vietnam Social Security held an online conference to evaluate the work of compiling a list of households participating in health insurance, administrative reform, soliciting opinions on transferring social insurance books to employees for management and announcing the decision to appoint the Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security.

According to the assessment of Vietnam Social Security: In the past time, Social Security of provinces and cities have seriously and made efforts to compile a list of households participating in health insurance; have advised the People's Committees of provinces and districts to issue specific instructions and guidance documents as well as promptly and fully implement regulations and steps to ensure progress and required quality; The two sectors of Social Security and Post Office have had close and effective coordination in reviewing data to compile a list of households participating in health insurance.

As a result, from August 24, 2015 to May 29, 2016, the whole country collected and entered data on over 87.5 million people, reaching 95.8% of the country's population. The rate of synchronization of data for issuing health insurance cards nationwide reached 81.4%...

In Nghe An alone, 100% of the population had data collected, of which the health insurance coverage rate was 2,361,044/3,063,218 people (77.08%); the number of people with synchronized health insurance card codes was 2,039,414 people, reaching 86.4%.
