Nghe An: Ban Ve Hydropower Plant operates flood discharge before super typhoon Mangkhut
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 15, the Flood and Storm Prevention and Search and Rescue Command of Nghe An province issued Official Dispatch No. 162/CV-PCTT announcing the Ban Ve Hydropower Plant's operation to release water from the reservoir to welcome floods.

To ensure safety of the project and flood reception operation, the hydropower plant discharges the reservoir with a flow rate of 600 - 800 m3/s.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Nghe An province requested the North Central Region Hydrometeorological Station and Ban Ve Hydropower Company to accurately forecast the flood situation, organize the discharge of reservoir water, ensure safety, and minimize flooding downstream.
