Nghe An won the junior high school boys' football championship at the 2025 National High School Sports Tournament
From June 7 to 16, 2025, a delegation of officials, teachers and students of Nghe An province participated in the 2025 National High School Sports Tournament held in Hue city.
The delegation consisted of 135 members, including 106 students and 29 staff and teachers, competing in 5 events: athletics, swimming, vovinam, basketball and football.
At the end of the tournament, the Nghe An student sports delegation achieved encouraging results with a total of 55 students winning medals, including 16 students winning Gold Medals, 1 student winning Silver Medals and 38 students winning Bronze Medals.
Football made a remarkable mark with 14 students winning Gold Medals in Boys' Football at the Secondary School.
Vovinam had 2 students winning Gold Medals, 1 student winning Silver Medals and 13 students winning Bronze Medals, helping Nghe An rank 5th nationwide in this category.
The secondary school girls' basketball team with 12 students won the Bronze Medal, thereby ranking 3rd out of 53 participating provinces and cities.
Athletics recorded 9 students winning Bronze Medals, ranking 19th nationwide.
Swimming has 4 students winning Bronze Medals, ranking 14th nationwide.
The achievements of Nghe An delegation at this year’s tournament are the result of the continuous efforts of teachers and students, and at the same time affirm the effectiveness of school sports development. This is also an opportunity to discover and nurture young talents, contributing to building a successor force for high-performance sports in the province in the coming years.
