Nghe An deploys troops to carry out the mission of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the 2024 - 2025 dry season
On the afternoon of October 22, the Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province held a departure ceremony, assigning the task to the Collection Team of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command to carry out the task of searching for and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos in the dry season of 2024 - 2025.

Attending the departure ceremony were comrades: Colonel Tran Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of the Policy Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Chief of Office of National Steering Committee 515; Colonel Pham Van Dong - Deputy Chief of Politics of Military Region 4.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province; Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province.

During the dry season of 2023 - 2024, the Collection Team - Provincial Military Command searched, collected, and organizedcollection87 remains were foundmartyrsVietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts sacrificed their lives in Laos. The memorial service and burial of the remains of the martyrs were solemnly and respectfully organized by the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province with deep gratitude for the martyrs' sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, national unification and noble international duty.
In the dry season of 2024-2025, the Collection Team will continue to be assigned by the Military Region 4 Command to search for and collect the remains of 80 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts who died in the three provinces of Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, and Xay Som Boon, Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Deeply aware of the meaning and importance of the task, over the past time, the Party Committee and the Command of the Collection Team have focused on thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing the directives and instructions from above on the work of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains; building motivation, determination, and a high sense of responsibility for officers and employees; proactively developing plans, organizing specialized training, military work, political education, logistics, techniques, and organizing Lao language learning for 100% of officers and employees.

The Gathering Team has completed its organization and staffing in accordance with the unit's tasks; organized repairs, inspections, completed procedures, and supplemented materials according to mission requirements; completed documents and procedures for immigration and emigration, and is ready to march to Laos to carry out its mission.
Speaking at the departure ceremony, comrade Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Nghe An province praised the results and achievements that the officers and staff of the Gathering Team have achieved in the past time.

To successfully carry out the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2024-2025, comrade Bui Dinh Long requested: The Party Committee, commanders and all officers and employees of the Collection Team must fully prepare facilities; organize marches to ensure absolute safety; arrive at the assembly location, quickly stabilize accommodation; grasp the situation in all aspects, especially the political security situation and related issues to organize and implement the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains with the highest efficiency.

During the implementation of the task, we regularly coordinate with the Party Committee, government, armed forces and relevant agencies of the neighboring country to organize propaganda and mobilize the people of Lao ethnic groups to provide information, guide the way, point to graves and participate in searching and collecting martyrs' remains; support forces, means and work to ensure absolute safety in all aspects; prepare a document concluding the surveyed area and collecting according to plan; draw a specific map of each grave and each location, and strictly manage and store them.

Strictly comply with State laws, military discipline and respect local customs and practices; maintain relationships and solidarity, effectively carry out mass mobilization work; actively increase production to contribute to improving the lives of cadres.
At the end of each collection period, actively and proactively coordinate closely with inspection units, compare archived records with collection records to identify the martyrs' remains; organize the reception and transportation of martyrs' remains to Vietnam; hand over and collect biological samples according to regulations; organize memorial and burial ceremonies to ensure solemnity and compliance with regulations.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long expressed his belief that the officers and staff of the Provincial Military Command's Collection Team will uphold their sense of responsibility, make efforts, strive, and be highly united, striving to excellently complete the task of searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs who died in Laos in the 2024-2025 dry season./.
