Nghe An promotes trade, connects product consumption in collective economic sector and cooperatives

On the morning of August 24, in Vinh city, a conference on trade promotion and connection of consumption of collective economic products and cooperatives in 2023 took place. Comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and gave a speech at the conference.

The event organized by Nghe An Cooperative Alliance attracted the participation of representatives of cooperative alliances from 13 provinces and cities in the country such as: Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Son La, Hanoi, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Thuan.

Previously, within the framework of the conference, yesterday afternoon, August 23, products from 13 provinces and cities andNghe Anhas also been opened with hundreds of products featuring regional characteristics. These are products that have been certified to meet OCOP standards or typical products of localities brought to serve Nghe An consumers.

Nghe An has 403 products achieving 3 OCOP stars or more

Over the years, through the production and business activities of cooperatives, enterprises, and craft villages, many quality products have been developed and gradually accepted by domestic and foreign markets.

Up to now, the whole province has 403 recognized products.OCOP standard3 stars or more, including 170 products from cooperatives and cooperative groups.

Nghe An has many specialty products known to domestic consumers such as: Vinh oranges, Nghe eel, Nam Dan soy sauce, Cua Hoi fish sauce, Quynh Luu seafood, Dien Chau peanuts, Do Luong rice paper... Besides paying attention to product quality and ensuring food safety, localities and entities focus on building packaging, labels, product traceability stamps, and building product brands to meet market requirements.

At the conference, leaders of the Cooperative Unions of provinces and cities introduced the potential and advantages of their localities in the production and consumption of agricultural and handicraft products; and shared experiences in trade promotion activities in the field of collective economy and cooperatives. At the same time, delegates also expressed their hope that cooperation between localities in the coming time will not only stop at signing at the conference and need specific cooperation, building regional linkage chains to make the consumption of local products more effective.

Further promote trade promotion activities

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: To continue to effectively implement the programtrade promotion, connecting supply and demand, contributing to improving the efficiency of production and business in the collective economic sector and cooperatives. In the coming time, it is necessary to continue to further promote trade promotion activities, connect production and consumption of products of cooperatives and craft villages; promote the connection between cooperatives and between cooperatives and enterprises. Cooperatives link production and business activities with the development of key local products with good quality, beautiful designs and clear origins.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that it is necessary to continue to innovate production and business methods, actively apply scientific and technological advances in production, processing, and build quality and branded products. For cooperatives with products that have been awarded stars, they should continue to improve the quality of their products to achieve a higher OCOOP product ranking.

It is necessary to strengthen coordination with other provinces, especially within the Cooperative Union system, to learn and exchange experiences, help cooperatives and member enterprises improve and enhance production and business efficiency, provide the market with many quality and valuable products, aiming for export; bring the cooperative economic sector and cooperatives of the province to increasingly make positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Provincial departments and branches, according to their functions, continue to proactively coordinate with the Provincial Cooperative Union to implement trade promotion activities, connect supply and demand; coordinate research and propose policies to support and encourage cooperatives and enterprises to develop quality products that meet OCOP standards.

Through today's Conference, Nghe An province considers this a regular task of the Provincial Cooperative Union, contributing significantly to promoting the activities and production and business efficiency of cooperatives, and a good opportunity to learn and share experiences in activities, implementing trade promotion work, connecting supply and demand in the collective economic sector and cooperatives.

The leaders of Nghe An province hope that in the coming time, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance and other provinces will continue to pay attention, share, encourage and help Nghe An in general and the provincial Cooperative Alliance in particular in organizing trade promotion activities to connect supply and demand in the collective economic sector and cooperatives./.
