Nghe An Department of Health requires 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the province to deploy electronic medical records before August 31, 2025.

Electronic medical records are software systems built according to the 4.0 technology trend, allowing the digitization of all information on medical records, prescriptions, and clinical results of patients accurately and systematically. This system not only simplifies administrative procedures but also helps doctors and medical staff monitor and manage patients' health anytime, anywhere; can consult directly or remotely, helping to improve patient treatment efficiency.

With electronic medical records, all patient registration procedures can be used and guided by machines, patients can easily look up, track results, and update their medical status via phone apps. This reduces waiting time for medical examination and treatment.

According to the official dispatch, dated March 19, 2025, the Department of Health issued Plan No. 911/KH-SYT on the implementation of the tasks of Project 06/CP of the Nghe An Health sector in 2025. The Department of Health requires 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the province to implement electronic medical records before August 31, 2025. To date, in Nghe An province, there have been 26 qualified appraisal units to implement the records.electronic medical records.

However, there are still many public hospitals that have not yet implemented it, including: Nghe An General Hospital, Lung Hospital, Mental Hospital, Rehabilitation Hospital, Dermatology Hospital, Hematology - Blood Transfusion Center, Nghi Loc General Hospital, Do Luong General Hospital, Hung Nguyen Medical Center, Quy Hop Medical Center, Vinh Medical University Hospital, Military Hospital 4, Provincial Police Hospital.

Non-public hospitals that have not yet implemented the program include: 115 General Hospital, 115 Surgery Hospital, Hoan My Vinh Hospital, Dong Au General Hospital, Thai An General Hospital, Phu Dien General Hospital, Bao Son General Hospital, An Phat General Hospital, Thai Thuong Hoang Cosmetic Surgery Hospital, TTH General Hospital, Nguyen Phuc Traditional Medicine Hospital, Nghe An Maxillofacial Hospital.

To ensure the implementation of electronic medical records on schedule assigned by the Ministry of Health and the People's Committee of Nghe An province, the Director of the Nghe An Department of Health requests the Directors of medical examination and treatment units that have not yet implemented electronic medical records to ensure the completion of the implementation of electronic medical records before August 31, 2025; be responsible to the Director of the Department of Health for the progress and quality of the implementation of electronic medical records.

26 units that have been assessed as qualified to deploy electronic medical records need to quickly complete their documents to sign an addendum to the contract with the Social Insurance; ensure that the electronic medical records system operates stably, safely, keeps information confidential, and supports data interconnection according to regulations./.
