'Breathtaking' as Ukraine lands in the Black Sea
A former Ukrainian security agency employee suggested that Ukraine's objective in landing in the Black Sea might have been to provoke attacks on Russian fighter jets.

Former Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) employee Vasily Prozorov told TASS on September 12 that Ukraine's landing in the Black Sea could be a deliberate provocation aimed at attacking Russian fighter jets, with the support of F-16 fighters.
"Of course, other possible options should not be ruled out, including a specially orchestrated attack aimed at luring Russian fighter jets into this Black Sea region and making them vulnerable to an ambush by American F-16s," said former SBU officer Prozorov.
Mr. Prozorov added that this once again shows that none of the Ukrainian leaders care about the lives of their subordinates, even those trained as special forces soldiers of the Ukrainian navy.
Earlier, on the evening of September 11, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that Kyiv's attempt to seize Russia's "Crimea-2" self-elevating drilling rig in the Black Sea had been thwarted.
To seize the Russian oil rig, the Director-General of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense dispatched an amphibious assault force consisting of 14 ships from the US Navy's Willard Force, along with personnel from the Ukrainian Navy's Special Operations Forces. In the battle, eight naval vessels were sunk and up to 80 Ukrainian servicemen were killed.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that "Kyiv's latest operation has pushed dozens"Ukrainian soldiers"Entering a suffocating battle and facing death."
