Mother suspected of killing 9-year-old daughter
About a week ago, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet (37 years old), the victim's biological mother, told her neighbors, "When I die, I will take my two children with me."
Regarding the death of Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet (9 years old, residing in Hai Duong City), on April 30, Lieutenant Colonel Tieu Van Lien - Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police said that the Investigation Police Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police determined that the cause of her death was due to mechanical asphyxiation, strangulation by the necklace worn around the victim's neck.

Lieutenant Colonel Tieu Van Lien also said that currently, one of the suspects is Nguyen Thi Nguyet (37 years old), the victim's biological mother. Because after giving birth 8 months ago, she showed signs of postpartum depression.
Recently, Ms. Nguyet went to the doctor and discovered that she had rectal cancer. Although she was undergoing radiation therapy, she showed signs of mental disorder, constantly thinking that she would die and that before she died, she would take her two children with her.
About a week ago, Ms. Nguyet told her neighbors, "When I die, I will take my two children with me."
Lieutenant Colonel Tieu Van Lien also added that Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet is currently being treated at Bach Mai Hospital due to suspected pesticide poisoning, so he cannot provide any information.
Information that Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet was forced by her mother to drink pesticide to commit suicide is unfounded, Hai Duong criminal police said.
Previously, at around 1:00 p.m. on April 28, the Criminal Police Department of Hai Duong Province Police received a report from Hai Duong City Police that Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet (9 years old, residing in Zone 5, Thanh Binh Ward, Hai Duong City) died after being forced to drink rat poison by her biological mother, Nguyen Thi Nguyet.
Previously, Ms. Nguyet worked as a worker for a company, and her husband was a freelancer. When she gave birth to her youngest son a few months ago, Ms. Nguyet discovered she had rectal cancer, so she was sad and depressed, expressing that she wanted to die...
At around 11am on April 28th, Ms. Nguyet’s husband came home from work and found the door locked from the inside. He called out to no one to open the door. After kicking the door open, the man saw his second son sitting on the bed crying, with Ms. Nguyet lying next to him.
According to the family, Ms. Nguyet told them that she killed Tuyet by giving her rat poison. After that, Ms. Nguyet banged her head against the wall, trying to commit suicide.
The family continued searching and discovered Tuyet lying unconscious and purple on the first floor bed of the family. Everyone took Ms. Nguyet, Tuyet and her second son to Hai Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment.
When arriving at the hospital, the doctor announced that Tuyet had died outside the hospital. Nguyet was rushed to the emergency room in a state of panic, threatening to bite her tongue and bang her head against the wall.
The Investigation Police Agency determined that the case has signs of murder. The Criminal Police Department of Hai Duong Provincial Police is verifying to handle it according to the provisions of law.
