After people discovered the body of a young man floating in a canal, authorities conducted an autopsy, suspecting this was a murder case.

On the morning of July 21, people in Dong Nam Lo village, Cam Thanh commune, Cam Xuyen, Ha Tinh, went to the canal that flows through the village and suddenly discovered the body of a dead young man floating.

At the scene, the police identified the young man wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, about 20-25 years old, with short hair and no identification. The victim had a deep cut on his head, which is suspected to be a murder.

By noon of the same day, the victim was identified as Ngo Phuc Hieu, 19 years old, in Cam Vinh commune, Cam Xuyen district.

Mr. Bui Duc Hong, head of Cam Vinh commune police, said Hieu was a painter. Before being found dead in the canal, on the evening of July 19, Hieu and a group of friends went to Cam Due commune to drink alcohol but did not return.

According to Hieu’s group of friends, after getting drunk, Hieu rode his motorbike home. About 5 minutes later, a friend from Cam Quan commune (Cam Xuyen) followed him on his motorbike but did not see Hieu.

Currently, the police are investigating and clarifying the perpetrator of this murder.
