(Baonghean.vn) - Nghi Loc district has taken drastic measures to clear urban sidewalks and traffic safety corridors, thanks to which many roads have become more open.

On the afternoon of January 26, comrade Vo Minh Duc - Chief of Office of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee led the inspection and supervision of the implementation of ensuring traffic order and safety in Nghi Loc district.

Implementing the telegram 19 of the Provincial People's Committee, Nghi Loc district has strongly directed communes and towns to mobilize to clear traffic safety corridors. In addition to organizing households to sign commitments, communes and towns have also established self-management teams to clear and manage the corridors of each block and hamlet. Thanks to increased supervision, inspection, regular patrolling, control and handling of violations, after 3 weeks of deployment, up to now, all types of advertising signs and mobile canopies in the area have been basically handled.

The working delegation worked with leaders of Nghi Loc district on the implementation of Official Dispatch 19 of the Provincial People's Committee on restoring order in traffic safety corridors.

Specifically, the district has removed over 470 illegal constructions, canopies, and advertising signs. It has also driven away over 100 kiosks displaying goods for sale; cleared away all kinds of construction materials, and cut down hundreds of trees that violated traffic safety corridors.

Mr. Le Van Khang - Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee said that the district will continue to direct working groups to regularly inspect, detect and strictly handle to prevent the re-encroachment of corridors and sidewalks.

In the coming time, Nghi Loc district will continue to focus on handling "hot spots" of traffic safety disorder such as Nghi Trung market, route 535 in Mai Trang market area, Nghi Yen market... To prevent the re-encroachment of traffic safety corridors, the district People's Committee assigned communes and towns to continue directing working groups to regularly inspect, detect and strictly handle households that re-violate.

After the campaign to clear the traffic safety corridor, National Highway 1 through Quan Hanh town, the sidewalks and corridors have become more open.
