Nghi Loc responds to Drug Prevention Action Month

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 17, Nghi Loc district organized a rally and parade to respond to the Drug Prevention Action Month and National Drug Prevention Day 2015.

In recent times, all levels, sectors and functional forces have actively coordinated and implemented many specific solutions in preventing drug abuse and achieved many important results. In 2014 and the first 6 months of 2015, functional forces discovered and arrested 17 cases with 20 drug offenders, including 3 drug cases, seized 7.3 grams of heroin, 21.5 grams of synthetic drugs, made records to send 13 addicts to centralized drug rehabilitation, and 57 addicts to community-based rehabilitation. In the district, drug retail locations and points have been gradually destroyed.

At the ceremony, Nghi Loc district leaders called on party committees at all levels, authorities, armed forces, youth union members and people from all walks of life to join hands and promote drug prevention and control. Improve the effectiveness of drug control work, regularly launch attacks and eliminate complex drug hotspots, contributing to curbing the increase of crime, especially drug-related crimes. After the launching ceremony, more than 400 officers and soldiers of the armed forces, leaders of communes, towns, and youth union members participated in a parade on the main roads of the district in response to the Month of Action against Drugs and the National Day against Drugs in 2015./.
