Nghi Loc: Mobilization of Scholarship Fund reached over 1 billion 539 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On June 18, Nghi Loc Association for Promotion of Education held a conference to review the work of promoting education in the first 6 months of 2015 and implement Decision 1360 of the Provincial People's Committee on promoting the lifelong learning movement in families, clans, and communities until 2020.
In the first 6 months of the year, the learning promotion associations at all levels in the district have proactively implemented the proposed programs and plans and achieved many encouraging results.
Fundraising for education promotion and mobilizing to help poor students were carried out well. In the first 6 months of the year, all levels of the association mobilized over 1 billion 539 million VND for education promotion fund, organized scholarships for 877 students, and awarded 5,887 students with difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, the District Association for the Promotion of Education awarded 2 collectives and awarded the Medal for the Cause of Promotion of Education to 8 individuals who had many achievements in the work of promoting education and talents, and building a learning society.
