Nghi Loc rewards 5 collectives with achievements in population work

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 20, Nghi Loc District Population Center held a conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the national target program on population/family planning for the period 2011 - 2015.

After 5 years of implementing the national target program on population/family planning, population/family planning work in Nghi Loc district has had many positive changes. The goals and targets on population/family planning work have been basically achieved. The birth rate decreased by 5.1%, the rate of giving birth to the third child or more decreased by 1.4% compared to 2011. The rate of couples accepting contraceptive methods reached 69.9%. Projects under the national target program are gradually coming into life, contributing positively to improving the quality of population in the district.

With the goal of maintaining a steady decline in birth rates and reducing the rate of third or more children, in the period of 2016 - 2020 Nghi Loc continues to strengthen propaganda and mobilization activities to implement the population/family planning policy. Expand and improve the quality of reproductive health care/family planning services. Improve the capacity and effectiveness of the population/family planning team at the grassroots level. Strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels in population/family planning work.

On this occasion, Nghi Loc District People's Committee awarded 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in implementing the national target program on population/family planning in the area./.
