Tran Thi Linh Chi (3A grade student, Nghi Phu I Primary School, Vinh City) has a very difficult family situation. Orphaned by both parents, she was taken care of by her aunt. Overcoming mental pain and difficult circumstances, Chi studies very well...

Born into a family of 5 siblings, the family's circumstances were difficult, her parents had to work hard to take care of the 5 siblings Linh Chi could go to school like other children. In 2010, disaster struck her. Both her father and mother died suddenly in a traffic accident. Living in the love of the family, Linh Chi's 5 siblings became helpless, without support. Chi's older siblings had to drop out of school halfway to go to the South to earn a living. The three younger siblings were still young, one lived with the grandmother, one lived with the aunt, one lived with the uncle. Linh Chi was taken in by her aunt.

Her aunt's situation was also quite difficult: living alone, selling small items at the market just enough to make ends meet. To take care of Chi so she could go to school like her friends of the same age, she had to try very hard. Understanding her hardships, Chi was always obedient, studied hard and practiced doing small chores around the house to help her. Although only 9 years old, Chi looked quite mature. She cooked, swept the house, and washed clothes herself. And the hardship and lack of affection made Chi think more maturely than her age. "Entering the new school year, seeing her friends being bought new clothes and new school bags by their parents; being picked up after school by their parents... she also seemed sad. But Chi never asked her to buy this or that. Once, when taking Chi shopping for clothes, Chi said: "My clothes are still intact. You don't have to buy them. I'll save the money to buy clothes to buy reference books for you." - Ms. Huong, Chi's adoptive mother, said.

Despite her difficult family circumstances, lack of love and support, Chi is still a very good student. For three consecutive years, Chi has been awarded the title of excellent student at the school level. Recently, Chi won the "Lighting up the dreams of Vietnamese youth" scholarship awarded by the Central Youth Union in collaboration with SCB Bank.

At school, Chi received support from teachers and friends. The school gave Chi a lot of favors, often encouraging her materially and spiritually. And those feelings from the teachers planted in her the dream of becoming a teacher in the future.

But with the current situation, it is very difficult for the aunt to take care of Chi's education until the end. "Tuition, books and hundreds of other expenses. Now, while I have strength, she is still studying at a low level, and can still persevere. But when she gets weaker and Chi goes to higher education, it will be very expensive, I don't know if I can handle it?" The aunt sighed.

And to make Chi's dream come true, we really need the cooperation and help of the community.
