Yusufu Mieraili, 25, a Chinese national who was arrested in Sa Kaeo province bordering Cambodia on September 1, told police and investigators that he was the one who passed the bomb to the yellow-shirted man, the main suspect in the August 17 Erawan shrine attack that killed 20 people, the Bangkok Post quoted a source familiar with the matter as saying. The source added that Mieraili would be transferred to the Bangkok Police Station today for further questioning.

Mieraili previously admitted he was near the scene of the explosion but denied being the bomber. His DNA did not match the DNA on evidence left by the main suspect when he left the scene.

Thai police said yesterday they were searching for a 10th suspect in connection with the bombing.
