Bomb-throwing suspect at police headquarters regrets
Nam has a gentle face, is quiet and shows remorse for throwing a mine into the ward police headquarters, injuring three people.
Vu Hoang Nam (22 years old) lives with his family in Tan Binh district. In 2017, while studying Information Technology, he dropped out of school after a period of contact with Ngo Hung -claiming to be the Commander-in-Chief of the reactionary group Viet Nguyen Dynasty, currently in the US.
Hearing this man say that people in the organization were given positions and money, Nam asked to join many times but was rejected because he had no "record" of opposing the State.

According to the investigation, on June 10, many people gathered to cause trouble using the excuse of protesting the Special Economic Zone Law, and Nam also participated. He actively incited people to "score points" with Ngo Hung. Being instructed by this man to contact Nguyen Khanh (54 years old, living in Dong Nai) to take on the terrorist mission to create a buzz, Nam was determined to carry it out.
On June 19, Nam met Khanh at a coffee shop in Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai) to discuss the plan. There was also Duong Ba Giang (47 years old) and another young man. Khanh gave him 2 explosives and asked him to attack any police station in Ho Chi Minh City. Nam chose Ward 12 Police Station in Tan Binh District on Cach Mang Thang 8 Street because it was always crowded and had a high chance of escape.
Early in the afternoon of June 20, Nam was taken by the young man (who went with Khanh to the coffee shop) to carry out the plan. Both were wearing jeans, jackets, sneakers, and masks. Nam sat behind, carrying a backpack containing two explosives.
Entering the Ward 12 Police Station in Tan Binh District, Nam pretended to be a citizen coming to contact work, asked to go to the restroom, then secretly planted one mine in the reception area, the other in the parking area, and detonated it by remote control. He quickly jumped into his accomplice's car and escaped to Dong Nai to meet Khanh.
Worried about being discovered, a week later Nam contacted Ngo Hung and was instructed by him to escape but was arrested shortly afterwards.
Working with the investigation agency, Nam expressed remorse. Nam said that he was the youngest of four siblings and was pampered by everyone. Due to ignorance and being lured by Ngo Hung, he committed the crime.

In 2013, when the State sought public opinion on a draft law, he expressed his opposition, connected with Ngo Hung via social media and was appointed Governor of Dong Nai Autonomous Region. Hung also promised to send him money to attract people to join the organization and carry out terrorist acts to gain notoriety for the force.
To carry out this plan, Khanh received a total of nearly 150 million VND from Ngo Hung.He bought 10 kg of TNT explosives from a group of people in Dak Mil district (Dak Nong) for 1.7 million VND per kg, then assigned his son and nephew Duong Ba Giang (a freelance mechanic) to manufacture explosives.
In addition to the two explosives given to Nam, Khanh also gave another one to Nguyen Xuan Phuong (aka Hau, 30 years old) to place at the Tam Hiep Ward Police Station, Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai. However, because she was afraid that Khanh would kill her after carrying out this mission, Phuong did not follow through.
Arrested with his accomplices and 38 detonators, 8 homemade explosives, 10 kg of TNT... Khanh admitted to all his actions, saying that because of difficult circumstances, he followed Ngo Hung's instructions, but did not drag Thanh into the case. "I needed money so I joined, knowing that his promise of a title was just an illusion," Khanh said, adding that most of the money he received was spent personally.
