On Friday, in a speech to supporters, Senator Mitt Romney - former Governor of Massachusetts declared "After considering becoming a candidate for President, I decided it was best to give the opportunity to other candidates in the party".

In explaining his decision, Mr. Romney said he did not want to hinder other candidates when they had a better chance to become the next head of the White House. At the same time, Senator Romney also felt very difficult to make the above decision and apologized to his supporters. Mr. Romney believes this is the best solution for all parties and for the country.

Mitt Romney is a Republican congressman and governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007. In 2012, he ran for president but lost to Barack Obama. In mid-January, Congressman Romney said he was “seriously” thinking about running for president again.

According to many analysts, the withdrawal of Senator Mitt Romney is believed to be part of the plan of Jeb Bush - the son of former President George H.W. Bush and the younger brother of former President George W. Bush. In mid-December, Senator Jeb Bush officially announced that he would join the race for the White House.
