Nghia Dan: Opening of the 7th session - 18th District People's Council

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 18, Nghia Dan district solemnly held the 7th session of the 18th District People's Council, term 2011-2016.

Attending the event were delegates of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and departments, delegates of the District People's Council and Chairmen of the People's Councils of 25 communes and towns in the area.

The meeting aims to review the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year, discuss tasks and solutions for socio-economic development in the last 6 months of 2014, report on the implementation results of the Resolutions of the People's Council, of the sectors and the settlement of voters' recommendations.

According to the report of the District People's Committee, in the first 6 months of the year, Nghia Dan district has achieved encouraging results. The growth rate is estimated at 9.47%. The total production value is estimated at 2,252,256 million VND, an increase of 10.32% over the same period, equal to 57.57% of the assigned plan and equal to 55.14% of the District People's Council Resolution. Agricultural - forestry - fishery production has developed steps. Total food output is estimated at 28,750 tons, an increase of 19.7% over the same period. Organizing well the work of disease prevention. The total herd of livestock and poultry is estimated at 1,063,480, an increase of 13.4% over the same period. Organizing and implementing effective models such as growing chili peppers, growing green squash, growing high-quality purebred rice varieties.

The movement of helping each other develop the economy, solve employment problems, eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and enrich legitimately has spread widely. The rate of poor households has decreased compared to previous years. The movement of building new rural areas has been joined by the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level and especially the consensus of the people, gradually solving difficulties in local issues. Industrial production and basic construction have achieved good results, the production of construction materials such as stone, sand, gravel, and bricks has increased. In addition, the district's cultural and social fields have also had some positive developments. Continue to direct the work of building standard cultural, information and sports institutions, promote the socialization of culture, sports and physical training. In addition, the delegates also listened to the report on the final settlement of the state budget revenue and expenditure in 2013 and the first 6 months of 2014. Reports on the activities of the Fatherland Front, the People's Procuracy, and the District People's Court. As well as reports on the work of receiving people and handling complaints and denunciations. Especially, the report summarizing voters' opinions and recommendations on issues that have occurred in the past. Issues that voters are interested in and will be presented at the meeting include rural roads, irrigation, power grid systems, environmental situation, compensation and site clearance, policies, medical examination and treatment, etc.

Provincial People's Council delegates and district leaders congratulated comrade Vi Van Dinh on his new position and expressed gratitude to comrade Le Duc Truong - Former Secretary of the District Party Committee, Former Chairman of the District People's Council.

Also during the meeting, the District People's Council dismissed Mr. Vi Van Dinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee from the position of Chairman of the District People's Committee and unanimously elected Mr. Vi Van Dinh as Chairman of the District People's Council to replace Mr. Le Duc Truong who retired according to the regime.
