Previously, as reported by the newspapers, the particularly serious traffic accident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on January 24, at km 506 on the Ho Chi Minh trail, through Xuan Quy commune, Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province. At that time, a 16-seat car with license plate 37B - 010.52, traveling from Nghe An to Thanh Hoa, when reaching the above location, the car's tire exploded, lost control and crashed head-on into a truck with license plate 29H - 7506 going to Nghe An.The tragic accident left 9 people dead and 5 injured.

The Nghia Dan District Medical Center was assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to take care of and monitor Duong Thi Phuong Anh on the night of the accident. Duong Thi Phuong Anh (born in 2003, residing in Vinh Son Commune, Anh Son District, Nghe An Province), whose father, Duong Van Trung (about 45 years old), died in the tragic traffic accident. Currently, Duong Thi Phuong Anh is being treated at the Nghia Dan District Medical Center and is in stable health.
