Nghia Dan: Honoring 45 typical good farmers in production and business for the 7th time

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 14, the Farmers' Association of Nghia Dan district held the 7th Conference to summarize the movement of farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, period 2012-2014, with the participation of45 typical members in the area.

The movement of farmers competing in good production and business has always been given special attention by the Farmers' Association of the district and all levels, becoming a key goal and task to implement. In the period of 2012-2014, the Associations at all levels actively mobilized to build the Farmers' Support Fund, with capital at all levels reaching nearly 1.3 billion VND, of which the capital from the Central and Provincial levels was 1.3 billion VND for 65 households to borrow capital to implement models (growing oranges in Nghia Hieu, raising buffaloes for breeding in Nghia Binh, raising goats in Nghia Trung and Nghia Khanh), the capital from the district level was built to more than 85 million VND for 17 households to borrow for production. Coordinated with relevant sectors to organize 421 training courses on transferring science and technology to 18,959 people, 51 short-term vocational training courses for 1,868 members to participate.

Among the 4,550 households with good production and business at all levels, there are many good production and business models, especially 45 typical member households. Economic models that bring high efficiency such as pig farming, chicken farming, goat farming, citrus growing, rubber growing or combined VAC and synthetic models such as the family of Mr. Truong Dinh Thong in Nghia Long, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong in Nghia Trung, Hoang Xuan Anh in Nghia Son... are typical households with good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty in the area. At the same time, the movement also contributes to the formation of specialized production areas with large areas suitable to the characteristics of the local situation such as growing melons in Nghia Son, Nghia Yen; growing oranges in Nghia Hieu; growing sugarcane in Nghia Hung... Many associations boldly set up businesses, not only enriching themselves but also creating jobs for workers.

In the next phase, the District Farmers' Association focuses on developing the movement of farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, quickly applying scientific and technological advances to production, building the will of farmers determined to overcome poverty and get rich legitimately.

The District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 outstanding farmer members in the movement of good production and business.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the District People's Committee awarded 6 households, and the District Farmers' Association awarded certificates of merit to 39 outstanding members in the movement of good production and business, solidarity to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty.
