Nghia Dan organizes the congress of the Association for Promotion of Learning for the term 2014 - 2019

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 26, Nghia Dan District Association for the Promotion of Education held the 3rd Congress of Delegates for the 2014-2019 term.

During the past term, with the attention of the Provincial Association, District Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front and departments at all levels, the district's education promotion activities have achieved many encouraging results. The organization and members of the association have been strengthened, currently there are 311 branches, of which 100% are grassroots associations in communes, towns and schools (25 communes, towns, 70 schools); there are education promotion committees in 100% of blocks, hamlets and schools; there are more than 55 education promotion committees in clans. Over 5 billion VND of the education promotion fund has been mobilized, scholarships have been awarded to more than 6,000 poor students who have overcome difficulties and achieved high academic results.

Awarding individuals and groups with achievements in promoting learning

In addition, the Association has also coordinated with departments, branches and organizations to effectively implement movements such as families and clans of studious people; learning promotion community, learning promotion month, learning promotion festival. The Association has mobilized and received support from many organizations and businesses in the area for the district's learning promotion movement such as the Provincial Learning Promotion Association, NASU Nghe An Sugar Factory with over 500 million VND; the District Fatherland Front Committee with over 100 million VND, TH Milk Company... With the achievements, the district's learning promotion movement has improved and the achievements have been commended by all levels.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the District Association for the Promotion of Education, term III, 2014 - 2019, consisting of 31 comrades. On this occasion, the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education awarded the Commemorative Medal for the cause of promoting education to 5 comrades; awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 1 individual with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to promote education, encourage talents, and build a learning society in 2013. The People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded 2 Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals in the promotion of education. In addition, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Education also awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 4 individuals with achievements in the promotion of education in 2013.
