Attending the conference were comrades: Vi Van Dinh - Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary, Chairman of the District People's Council, Colonel Lu Van Tuong - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; Colonel Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command; representatives of some functional departments of the Provincial Police; Provincial Military Command.

Overview of the conference

In 2014, the tasks of national defense and security were implemented synchronously by the Party Committee, the government, departments, organizations, agencies and units from the district to the grassroots level and achieved many important results. The national defense foundation associated with the people's security posture developed more and more firmly; local military work, force building, building safe bases, mastering combat readiness, training exercises, military transfer, and implementing the military rear policy were carried out effectively. Criminal activities were restrained; traffic order and safety were ensured; the movement of the entire people to protect the national security had a new development step. The work of building a clean and strong armed force was strengthened.

In 2014, PCCCR drills were organized, security combat drills were trained for 4 communes and the Farm, achieving 100% of the plan; 601 comrades were surveyed to complete the militia and self-defense tasks, 601 comrades were admitted, the total number of core militia and self-defense members was 2,396 comrades, accounting for 1.7% of the district's population. Through training and drills, awareness of national defense and security tasks, leadership, direction and management capacity of grassroots Party committees and authorities were raised in performing tasks. Military recruitment was conducted strictly and in accordance with the law, 110 new recruits were assigned to military units, achieving 100% of the target.

Also in 2014, the District Political Training Center opened 04 training classes on national defense and security knowledge for subjects with over 322 students. Nghia Dan built and consolidated the quality of militia and self-defense forces, reserve mobilization with reasonable numbers and increasingly high quality. The organization completed training for 25/25 militia and self-defense units, with the number of troops reaching 100%.

Mass mobilization and policy work has always been focused on and implemented effectively. People's trust in the armed forces has been increasingly consolidated, creating the strength of the all-people national defense posture, maintaining political security and social order in the area, creating favorable conditions for local economic and social development.

At the conference, delegates upheld their sense of responsibility, promoted democracy, actively discussed, contributed frank and honest opinions, pointed out creative and effective work, and seriously pointed out some shortcomings in the coordination of task implementation; the practice of security combat drills, etc.

In 2015, Nghia Dan district continued to carry out propaganda and education work to raise awareness and responsibility for the armed forces; promoted emulation movements in all fields, successfully completed training, drills, sports, combat readiness, natural disaster prevention, military recruitment associated with implementing military rear policies, contributing to maintaining political security, order and social safety in the area.

At the conference, the title of Determined to Win Unit of the Military Region 4 Command and the flag of the Provincial People's Committee were awarded to the mobile militia team and the people's cadres of Nghia Binh commune; Certificates of Merit of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and Certificates of Merit of the District People's Committee Chairman were awarded to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in military - defense work and the movement of all people protecting national security in 2014.
