Nghia Dan: Summary of patriotic emulation movement period 2010 - 2015

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of March 25, the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district held a conference of typical advanced delegates in the patriotic emulation movement in the area in the period 2010-2015.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, leaders of the Department of Home Affairs, leaders of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Board; representatives of leaders of districts of National Highway 48 cluster, Nhu Xuan district (twin district); leaders of Nghia Dan district, communes, towns and typical examples in various fields.

In the period of 2010-2015, in the context of many difficulties due to the recent separation, thanks to promoting the patriotic emulation movement extensively under the leadership of the District Party Committee and the direction of the District People's Committee, Nghia Dan overcame all difficulties to achieve great comprehensive results.

Thanks to the promotion of the patriotic emulation movement, it has actively contributed to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development tasks in the area. The average annual economic growth rate reached 14.04%; per capita income increased from 16 million VND (in 2010) to 21.94 million VND/year in 2014; budget revenue increased from 16,458 million VND to 56,000 million VND; total social investment in the period increased from 850 billion to 3,500 billion VND; total food output increased from 35,320 tons to 47,250 tons; the poverty rate decreased from 18% to 7.87%...

After 4 years of implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, the total mobilized resources for the entire period reached 2,218 billion VND, currently 5 communes have met 15-18 criteria, striving to have 5 communes meet the New Rural standards in 2015. Recognizing the efforts of the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups, Nghia Dan district has achieved, including the patriotic emulation movement, continuously receiving the emulation flag from the Government for excellently completing all tasks, leading the patriotic emulation movement; especially in 2013, Nghia Dan was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the President; continuously in the years 2010-2014, the district Party Committee was ranked as a strong and virtuous person.

The conference evaluated the achievements, drew lessons from the shortcomings and commended 11 collectives and 37 individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2010-2015. Also at the conference, Nghia Dan officially launched the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 2015-2020 with the determination to build Nghia Dan into a center for developing high-tech applications in agricultural production in the Western region.
