Nghia Loc mobilizes people to build rural transport

(Baonghean.vn) As a purely agricultural commune, Nghia Loc (Nghia Dan) faces many difficulties. The inter-commune roads connecting Ho Chi Minh Road to the commune center and National Highway 48 are all dirt roads, causing difficulties for people to travel and transport goods. In the face of this situation, in recent days, Nghia Loc commune has mobilized 3,200 workers with nearly 30,000 working days along with mobilizing 100 million VND in support from local businesses to repair inter-commune, inter-village, and intra-field roads.

With 8km of road connecting Ho Chi Minh road to the commune center and National Highway 48, the commune divided the responsibility equally among 27 hamlets. The hamlets mobilized rudimentary vehicles, trucks, and excavators to support the repair of the road, with an urgent and responsible working atmosphere of the people. Mr. Ho Si Tam, Khanh Tien hamlet, Nghia Loc, said: "People in the commune are very miserable because of traffic, especially in the rainy season. The government mobilized all the people and businesses to do this, we responded and participated enthusiastically."

In addition to repairing more than 21,000 m3 of inter-commune roads and more than 3,700 m2 of inter-village roads, on this occasion, Nghia Loc commune also mobilized people to dredge more than 3,300 m3 of canals and more than 6,000 m3 of intra-field roads to serve the next production season. Nghia Loc also mobilized businesses and companies located in the area to support the commune in building rural roads, considering this as part of the responsibility that businesses share with the people.

Therefore, although the number of companies in the area is not much, the commune has mobilized 100 million VND to rent vehicles such as excavators and trucks to serve the road repair. Mr. Ngo Si Hoang - Chairman of Nghia Loc Commune People's Committee, said: "Every year, the commune still mobilizes people to repair inter-village and inter-commune roads. However, due to the large area, with 18 km of inter-commune roads, and the commune's limited capital, the repair is difficult. This year, with the mobilization of labor days and support from businesses, the repair is more favorable.

Thanks to the contributions of the entire population, Nghia Loc has roads without “potholes”. However, to solve the long-term degradation, Nghia Loc needs more attention and investment from the government at all levels.
