Acceptance of scientific topics and inspection of local defense areas

(Baonghean) - On the morning of December 7, atMilitary Region 4 Command, The Ministry of National Defense's Science Council held a conference to evaluate and accept the scientific topic "Research on building key coastal defense areas in the military region's defense posture", chaired by Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Commander of Military Region 4. Lieutenant General, Doctor Pham Xuan Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army chaired the conference.

After listening to Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Project Manager, summarize the research results, the delegates highly appreciated the content, structure and practical value of the project in the current situation; especially in building a key coastal defense area of ​​special importance, aiming to create a comprehensive strength and a solid people's war posture, maintain and gain the initiative, and effectively deal with situations that occur in both peacetime and wartime.

The acceptance council evaluated the project as excellent and proposed that the Minister of National Defense award a Certificate of Merit to the Project Management Board and Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong as the project manager.

The delegation listened to the local reports on 3 contents: Results of construction and operation of defense zones; results of comprehensive activities on the western border; work on building a safe and combat-ready base. Next, the delegation inspected the actual situation in Tri Le commune and Tri Le Border Guard Station, which is responsible for managing and protecting 15 km of border and 8 landmarks. Tri Le is a key and complicated area, adjacent to the Vietnam - Laos border, with a relatively large number of people passing through and visiting relatives, making it difficult to manage and grasp the situation. The Provincial Border Guard Command, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Que Phong district have coordinated to create favorable conditions for the work of sending border guards to participate in Party activities with weak Party cells. Thereby, integrating coordinated propaganda programs to help people understand the Law on National Border Protection and the Law on Forest Protection; mobilize people to develop high-income economic models such as passion fruit and cold-resistant rice with two crops in Mong village... The working group of Military Region 4 acknowledged the above results and hoped that officers, soldiers and people in Tri Le commune would continue to raise their vigilance, strengthen security and order, border security and social order and safety.
