The meeting of diplomats from the two countries was held "on the sidelines" of the Munich Security Conference.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the sides noted the active political dialogue between Kiev and Prague and discussed issues on the agenda of Ukrainian-Czech cooperation.

Mr. Stropnicky also said that the Czech Republic supports Ukraine's territorial integrity, as well as Kiev's desire to integrate into Europe and maintain sanctions against Russia.

Earlier, Czech President Miloš Zeman stated his opposition to sanctions against Russia. He added that sanctions against Russia must be ended.

EU countries imposed sanctions on Russia in 2014 amid the Ukraine crisis. Russia took retaliatory measures and pursued import substitution.
