Foreign Minister Wang Yi holds talks with US Ambassador to China

According to Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with US Ambassador to China Max Baucus in Beijing on June 29.

At the meeting, Mr. Wang Yi said that building a new model for China-US relations is in line with the fundamental and long-term interests of the two countries, and is also the common desire of the international community.

Mr. Wang Yi emphasized that China and the US should maintain the principles of a new model of relations between major countries, which highlights the principles of non-conflict and non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation.

For his part, Ambassador Baucus said that the US-China relationship is one of the most important bilateral relationships in the world, and affirmed that there is no change in Washington's policy towards Beijing.

Mr. Baucus affirmed that the US will continue to cooperate with China to build a new model of relations between major countries./.
