Up to this point, after more than a week of showing, "The House in the Alley" has earned nearly 10 billion VND in revenue. Previously, on the opening day, February 14, 2012, many viewers who came to buy tickets to see "The House in the Alley" had to leave or choose another movie to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Most major theaters have increased the screenings of “The House in the Alley” to 6-7 to accommodate the long queues of audiences waiting to see a true horror film. The success of the film shows the audience’s wholehearted support at an “unexpected” time. Many couples enjoy thrills on Valentine’s Day, so the film, which was promoted for a long time beforehand with creepy images and a horror trailer, became the top choice.

After a period of skepticism, experts have acknowledged the initial success of this psychological horror film. People are talking about the film enthusiastically on forums and social networking sites. Most opinions say that the heart-stopping sound and image effects, along with the acting of the main actors, are the formula for the film's success.

Following the pattern of blockbuster horror films around the world, “The House in the Alley” does not present a complicated script but focuses on exploiting details through images and sounds. Many screams rang out in the theater and in particular, there were female audiences with weak hearts who left. The film is classified as a psychological, thrilling genre, but the visual hauntings will probably remain in the minds of viewers thanks to the solid staging.

Taking on the two main roles. Ngo Thanh Van and Tran Bao Son were quite excellent in playing typical roles, sometimes dramatic and extreme to the point of making the audience uncomfortable. But that was the intention of "The House in the Alley", bringing viewers into a world of psychological entanglements, no way out and pressure in the utmost regret of a young couple. The seemingly unbreakable chains were also ignited by the strong husband to burn away all the chains in the wife's mood. That is a story that only exists in "The House in the Alley" but is summarized from many pains of daily life./.
