Thai star defeated by Liverpool
Expected to create a surprise against Liverpool, but coach Kiatisak's team played unconvincingly and suffered a 0-4 defeat.
Before the match against Liverpool, the Thai Star team faced two teams from England, Chelsea (lost 1-0) and Reading (drawn 2-2). Although it was just a friendly match, Coach Kiatisak highly appreciated this confrontation. Zico Thai affirmed that he will choose the perfect framework to have experiments, thereby having the most satisfactory squad to enter the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers with Iraq and Vietnam.
Despite the expectation, the Thai Star players had a poor performance. In the 4th minute of the match, the home team's net shook. The scorer for Liverpool was Lazar Markovic.

Despite being behind, the Thai star could not attack to find an equalizer. Liverpool continued to dominate the game and in the 42nd minute, Sakho doubled the gap after a powerful header from Teixeira's corner.
The game did not change much in the second half, The Kop was still the better team. In the 52nd minute, after a beautiful attack, Lallana had a diagonal shot, defeating goalkeeper Makemusik.
The Thai players had reason to regret not being able to score a consolation goal when the ball hit the crossbar after a free kick, the ball went past Mignolet's hands. Failing to score, the home team also conceded another goal from Origi's header in the 88th minute.
Defeating Thai Star with a score of 4-0 in the first match will help Liverpool gain more confidence in the following friendly matches. At 3:45 pm (Vietnam time) on July 17, The Kop will face Brisbane Roar FC of Australia.
