Therefore, a leader who was a former Deputy Prime Minister had to exclaim: "Looking at the young generation paying their respects to General Vo Nguyen Giap, we believe and feel assured that the "golden generation" of the Vietnamese revolution has its successors."

- In the context of "a large number of cadres and party members degenerating in political ideology, morality and lifestyle", General Vo Nguyen Giap, the most outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh, with his outstanding talent, great achievements and shining revolutionary morality, has become a symbol of faith for the young generation.
- But I see a reality today that there are cadres and party members of the previous generation who lack faith in the younger generation; they think that today's youth live without ideals, indifferent to the nation's history of steadfast and indomitable revolutionary struggle. Those who think like that do not understand that they themselves have lost the faith of the younger generation because they do not sincerely follow Uncle Ho's teachings as General Vo Nguyen Giap sincerely did with Uncle Ho.

The people of the whole country bid farewell to General Vo Nguyen Giap in the context of implementing important resolutions on Party building, mass mobilization work, and reform and perfection of the political system. Through the moving image of the young generation bidding farewell to General Vo Nguyen Giap, each cadre and party member must awaken to see their responsibility to set an example for the younger generation to follow. Only then will the flame passed down from General Vo Nguyen Giap truly shine.
