(Baonghean.vn) - In early October, orange growers in Con Cuong district began harvesting. This year, Con Cuong oranges have a good harvest and prices are stable.
Con Cuong district has nearly 150 hectares of oranges, of which 100 hectares will be harvested this year. According to orange growers here, although there is drought this year, there is little fog so the oranges do not fall as much as in previous years. The expected orange yield is estimated at nearly 20 tons/ha.
At this time, people have harvested the first-fruiting orange gardens to proactively take care of the trees for the next crop. The selling price at the garden is from 25,000 to 30,000 VND/kg. Traders from Vinh City and neighboring districts have come to the orange gardens to place orders.
