Sleeping in a burning house, thanks to passersby who knew to run away

Fortunately, a passerby knocked on the door and shouted for help, saving the two before the house caught fire.

Initial information, at around 11am on April 8, smoke billowed from the upper floor of a house on Nguyen Kiem Street (Ward 3, Phu Nhuan District) while a couple inside were fast asleep.

At the scene, many items in the house were burned.

Discovering the smoke, a passerby quickly knocked on the door and called for help from the neighbors. Hearing the shouts, the couple sleeping in the house managed to escape.

Immediately after that, the fire quickly broke out fiercely, everyone tried to find a way to put out the fire inside but failed because the fire was deep inside the house, the smoke was so thick that it was impossible to reach inside.

Upon receiving the news, Binh Thanh Fire Prevention and Fighting Force quickly arrived to control the fire.

Upon receiving the news, Binh Thanh Fire Prevention and Fighting Force dispatched 6 water trucks, one specialized vehicle, one command vehicle and 46 officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

Nearly half an hour later, the fire was basically under control. At the scene, many items in the house were burned. Fortunately, there were no human casualties.

The fire also caused traffic congestion in the area as the scene was cordoned off. The cause is under investigation.
