Collective work stoppage at Hanosimex Branch garment factory: Workers have returned to work
Outraged by the factory director's decision to resign, hundreds of workers went on a collective work stoppage.
At 2:00 p.m. on May 30, about 100 workers at Nam Dan 1 Garment Factory - Branch of Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation Hanosimex (located at Hamlet 1, Nam Giang Commune, Nam Dan District) went on strike to protest the personnel decision of the company's leadership.

Accordingly, this enterprise has just decided to remove Mr. N.D.T (born in 1979) from the position of Deputy Director of the branch and Director of Factory 1. The reason is because Mr. N.D.T is a defendant in a gambling case and is being subject to a measure of being prohibited from leaving his place of residence.
At the company, Mr. N.D.T is a prestigious person with the majority of workers. Before the company's decision, some workersstriketo protest and request the company's leadership to appoint a position for Mr. N.D.T., and at the same time allow Mr. N.D.T. to continue running the garment factory after the company merges garment factories 1 and 2 on June 1, 2024.
Faced with the above situation, Nam Giang Commune Police coordinated with security forces to work with company leaders and Mr. N.D.T to mobilize and explain to workers about the company's policy.
As soon as they learned about the incident, union officials from the Provincial Labor Federation's Policy and Law Department and leaders of the Nam Dan District Labor Federation were also present at the company to grasp the developments of the incident.
After working and explaining, at 4:00 p.m. the same day, the worker wasback to worknormal. The company's leadership still maintains the decision regarding Mr. N.D.T while waiting for the authorities to investigate and clarify the case.
The Trade Union of Nam Dan 1 Garment Factory belongs to Hanoi Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation, specializing in the production of knitted garment products for export, operating in Nam Dan district since 2010.
